I use GPS when I go hiking, and my mother has a GPS device in her car that shows her maps of the routes she is following at any one time in any city in Canada and the U.S. Many hunters use GPS devices to find their way back out of the wilderness, since they spend most of their time off trail. And I know that in Toronto, families put GPS Tracking devices on aging relatives who are likely to wander off and forget where they are. These personal beacons will become even more important when they come down in price.
I know that fleet tracking has been around for awhile now and will take off as fuel prices continue to increase. And I am certainly for asset tracking as a component of law enforcement and insurance policy.
